About Kuntzie's Kimonos

Tailor, seamstress, jewelry designer, fashion designer, silk painter, and accountant - the many faces of Kuntzie's Kimonos, all belonging to one body, Linda Kuntz.

My first design was a 3x5 inch scrap of fabric I scavenged from my mother's scrap pile. With 2 holes for arms and a ribbon for a belt, my Barbie was well dressed in a customized wrap dress!  I do remember sitting at both of my Grandmothers sewing machines and watching and listening and finally being allowed to sew by myself!

Many years ago I was fortunate enough to study under a Master Tailor by the name of Darlene Miller in Missoula, Montana.  I spent 10 years taking her evening classes learning the fine details of garment construction, from hand padding stitches on interfacings to the simple task of sewing on a button.  I am forever in her debt.

All the clothing is constructed by me, including the button finishings.  I incorporate hand-stitching where needed for a polished finish and tailoring techniques for durability and wear.

Each garment is One Of A Kind, no two garments are alike.  I do not buy by the bolt, therefore each garment's fabric is used once, or if used in two garments, different design.  You will be the only person in the world wearing your kimono or jacket.

I love the art of sewing and design.  All garments carry a money back guarantee if satisfaction is not achieved.  I pay attention to every detail and have an extensive knowledge and understanding of garment construction and fabric processing.  My work will speak for itself.  Thank you for wearing my clothing well!
